	Does personality type hold true across cultures?

	Answer Most studies indicate that the basic four preferences are found in all cultures. However, some cultural differences exist in how the preferences are revealed. For example, in England, an Extravert is quieter than their North American counterpart. So, the basic theory holds true (i.e., England's Extraverts are more outgoing than their Introverts) but culture has to be considered (i.e., an English Extravert might be mistaken for an Introvert in New York).
